The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, May 28 reveals Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will confide in Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Also coming up, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will discuss Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) birthday bash with Pietro (Jai Rodriguez). Plus, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will defend her daughter’s relationship to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). And Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will discuss Dumas with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Y&R spoilers tease Nick will ask Victor if he believes the Abbotts are an active threat. Then Jack will show up and ask what possible threat he could be. Victor will accuse Jack of skulking and he’ll leave. Jack will ask Nick what’s going on. Nick will tell him he doesn’t think his father is going after him. He’s gearing up for the looming threat of Aristotle Dumas.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nikki Gets Another Birthday Gift From Victor
As for Victor, he’ll head to the office and tell Victoria that Dumas is circling the company, aiming for Chancellor Industries. “Which means our priorities right now is protecting your mother.” So, she’ll ask what he’s going to do about it. “Shut that guy down before he gets anywhere near Chancellor,” he’ll reply.
As per usual, she’ll bring up Claire and she’ll tell Victor he needs to stop interfering in her relationship with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). So, he’ll harp on about how he’s the wrong man for her. “What are you going to do, throw him into a dungeon?” she’ll ask. “After what you’ve done to the men in my life, it wouldn’t be such a stretch.”
After Victoria storms off, Nikki will arrive and say say Victoria barely said two words to her. She’ll assume they were arguing about Claire and Kyle. “These arguments are useless,” Victor will reply. Yes they are, and most viewers are tired of it.
Thankfully the subject will change, when Victor gives Nikki another gift, a maroon music box. And it’ll be playing one of the first pieces she ever played for him on piano. “I love it,” she’ll tell him. “I love you.” Then she’ll say she only wants one other gift from him. “Promise me that you won’t attack the Abbotts until after my party.”
Meanwhile, Traci will take a deep breath before she opens the front door at the Abbott estate. Diane will greet her and ask what she thinks. “You have left me speechless,” she’ll reply. Diane will ask in a good or bad way. Then Traci will smile and give her a big hug.
“It’s just amazing,” Traci will say. And Diane will be relieved. Traci will tell Diane she made it happen. “I couldn’t respect and admire you more.” Diane will ask how she’s doing and Traci will apologize for not letting in her in when she was having such a heartbreaking time with Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins).
She’ll tell Diane she went from being in a loving relationship to realizing she was in love with a monster. “Now I find myself alone again and left with nothing but questions and guilt.” But Diane will say she has nothing to feel guilty about. “Maybe it was all just a lie, maybe I was just another experiment,” Traci will reply.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Claire Puts The Kibosh On Pietro’s Ideas
She’ll admit there is just no escape from these questions. “I miss being loved like Alan loved me,” she’ll admit. “But was any of it real, or was it all just lies?” Traci will say she has to live with the not knowing for the rest of her life.
“I am so sorry,” Diane will say. “You are too good of a person to have been used by that man.” Traci will tell her she’s going to bounce back. “And the Martin Laurents of the world will never get the better of me again.” Then Jack will arrive and welcome his sister home.
Finally, Claire will meet with Pietro, who will come up with some outrageous ideas for Nikki’s birthday party. “I’m not sure pillows and shawls with my grandmother’s pictures on them are exactly what I had in mind,” Claire will tell him.
So, Pietro will suggest they harken back to Nikki’s early days and put a stripper pole in the room. But Claire will quickly put the kibosh on that. She’ll say she wants no theme, no gimmicks. “I want this party to celebrate what makes her so unique and loved.” Yawn.
But Pietro will keep it up and suggest an 18th Century themed party, where everyone could wear wigs and costumes. Again, party pooper Claire will tell him not a chance. Why even hire a party planner if you’re going to turn down every idea? Nevertheless, Kyle will show up and introduce himself to Pietro.
Eventually, Claire will decide to go with her big idea, a boring arrangement of flowers, candles and all the colors Nikki loves. “This party’s going to be the talk of the town,” Kyle will tell him. Sure it will, Kyle.
